Size

The tubing size impacts priming volume and fluid flow:

Microbore (<2 mm) is recommended for low volume infusions; usually preferred in Pediatrics. Macrobore (>2 mm) can deliver large volume infusions in a short time; usually preferred in the Emergency Department and adult care areas.

Material

To prevent medication interactions and mitigate risks of exposure to DEHP (diethylhexyl phthalate)*, we offer:
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and non-PVC tubing options, including:
PVC (non-DEHP) - PU (polyurethane) - PE (polyethylene) - PE lined (PE/PVC) - Low sorbing (inner layer of PE and outer layer of PVC) - TPE (thermoplastic elastomers
(consult specific SKU for specification).
